A Legacy of Love and Conservation

A commemorative plaque honoring Wayne Hollomon Price (1943–2011) proudly hangs in the newly built Wayne Hollomon Price Research Center at Sea Turtle Inc. rehabilitation hospital on South Padre Island, Texas. Completed in 2025, this state-of-the-art facility reflects the very values Wayne held dear: compassion, conservation, and service to others. As founder of the Wayne Hollomon Price Foundation, Wayne believed in using her resources to protect and preserve nature, finding peace and inspiration in the natural world. Her foundation’s commitment to safeguarding threatened species, educating the public, and alleviating animal suffering aligns beautifully with the mission of Sea Turtle Inc. The plaque serves as a tribute to her enduring legacy and love for all living things.
